OUR SERVICES
Bailey Images offers speciality photographic services targeted at family historians, collectors, researchers
and enthusiastic amateurs. We offer a personalised service - with the exception of specialist printing services, all
of our work is carried out on our own premises in rural Suffolk.
In recent years
there has been an explosion in digital photography - virtually everyone has access to a digital camera of some form or another,
be it a mobile phone or a top of the range digital SLR. Those lucky enough to own a £20,000 camera and
lens combination will already have access to the resources needed to enhance their work and either print it or produce website
images.
Our services are aimed at those who do not have such equipment or who don't have
the know-how or time to undertake the work themselves. In the UK alone literally billions of images
are sitting on cameras and
computers; many never properly viewed or printed
and many more that with a little bit
of ‘fine tuning’ could become treasured family photos for years to come. In
addition there are boxes and boxes full of old family photographs, slides and postcards that over the years due
to older less technically stable processing techniques and unsuitable storage have faded or become creased, torn or badly
discoloured and subsequently banished to the loft, garage, or the cupboard under the stairs, never to be seen again.
We can restore old photographs
and postcards whether they be black and white or colour. We can usually turn an old image, however badly creased, torn, stained,
or badly discoloured it may be into a crisp new one. Naturally our success greatly depends on the state of the original
image.
- We can make quality digital images from slides, photographs or postcards simply
and economically, we can enlarge and enhance them and return them to you as on a CD as digital images suitable for use
in presentations, websites or for viewing on modern digital photo frames or provide you with printed copies in any size on
a variety of mediums high quality papers to aluminium sheet.
- We can make quality digital images from black and white or colour negatives,
we do not require the positive prints.
- We can improve digital images by
straightening leaning buildings, removing people or other things that you didn't see when you took the picture and even
recover information lost to the naked eye.

The important thing is that you will always receive your original
photos, slides or images back in the condition we received them. We make a high resolution scanned
image or digital copy to work on immediately on receipt and never do anything to alter or change the original. Most
importantly we will only charge for our services if we are successful, if we are not; your original is returned to you and
with the exception of a minimal cost to cover return postage, no charges will be made.
What we do, don’t do and won't do:
We do not undertake wedding,
special event or portrait photography, we are not equipped to do so and firmly believe that your special day is something
best left to specialists in that particular field.
We will not copy or undertake any work on images that in our opinion breach
any legal or professional guidelines including those of a pornographic nature, those which may breach security or privacy
or those which we consider may constitute a breach of copyright or will be used to mislead or misrepresent.
We will
not work on any images depicting children unless we have express written permission from the parent or legal guardian of every
child represented.
